Falling Stars

I was up with Caleb early this morning. In his room are three hanging star lantern lights. As I was holding him, putting him back to sleep, God said, I want to tell you something about the stars. So, I put the baby back to sleep and got back in bed and asked God about the stars.

He showed me an American flag flying on a flagpole waving and popping in the wind. Each time it would pop some of the stars would fall off of the flag. As we know, the stars on our flag represent the states. Then He showed me a peacock with its plumage in full display. Ahhh.... Pride.

Now, let me back it up a little bit. Towards the end of the summer, my friend, John Zintgraff, gave a word that: "There is a move of God coming. But it is not coming to the cities, towns and nations. It is coming to YOU! So then YOU can move among your cities, towns and nations." (Which we are seeing take place now!)

God said that the counter attack to this move that John told us was coming is pride and that it is matching Gods strategy. The enemy is going to try to attack YOU with pride so that it will sweep through your home, your church, your cities, towns, states, state leaders and eventually the nation. The stars were falling off because they were being taken down by pride.

Then He brought this scripture to mind.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 6:42

I agree with your take on the enemy's present strategy being to trap us in pride. I was talking with a friend yesterday, and told him how it has become harder the last few days to feel the Lord's presence. I told him it may be that looking at ourselves, instead of at Jesus, makes us blind and dull to the Lord's presence. I had just read in "The Call" how Rick Joyner removed the drap cloak of humility so that his glorious armor could be seen, but it blinded him to everything he could so clearly see previously. That's how I feel the enemy is tempting me, and I probably have given in to it more than I know.
What I haven't thought of is how the enemy wants to infiltrate all levels of authority with pride. Thanks for sharing the revelation. We need to hear it.

Hey Jillber. I enjoyed reading the words the Lord has been giving you for people. Thanks for sharing with us. As for this particular word on pride, I agree. The Lord has raised up a generation that is incredibly gifted with the ability to know and do in the supernatural. The enemy has chosen pride as one of his primary weapons (maybe THE primary weapon). This last 3 years has been a death of the idol/god of success for me (I am sure there will still be mini-battles, but I believe the major war is over). We must as a generation commit to surrender...
-dying to ourselves
-to His wisdom and timing, His peace and pace
-for His Kingdom to be built and not our own

I think that the enemy has a well thought up plan to keep us between the threat of losing our giftings and abilities and the temptation of over-using them. This is why I believe so strongly in community according to Ephesians 4. Jesus gave himself up for us as an example of how we should love and live in community with others. I believe this is one definitive counter strategy for defeating pride in ourselves and teaching others how as well.
